Galileo was the first person to discover the moons of Jupiter. At first he didn't know what they were, but after studying and observing he knew they were moons. He decided to name them after his boss Grand Duke Cosimo II. He found about that they went around Jupiter, like the moon goes around us. By discovering those 4 moon orbiting Jupiter he managed to disprove Aristotle once more. Aristotle said everything went around us, but those moons went around Jupiter.
